Kortis med George Laraque

Ingen Gnagare lär någonsin glömma vintern/våren 2005. Mattias Norström och George Laraque tog planet över Atlanten och hjälpte AIK till Hockey-allsvenskan. Båda är nu tillbaka i NHL och precis som för AIK har deras respektive säsonger startat. Vi tog chansen och hörde oss för hur läget var med vår hjälte George Laraque, dagen efter att hans Edmonton förlorade mot Notans L.A. Kings.

1) George! Which particular one moment will you remember about AIK when you tell your grandchildren about your spring in Stockholm 2005?

The fans,the fans and the fans,this is what makes this experience one of the best in my life. The singing and everything was amazing

2) What have you been doing since you left Sweden?

Working out and getting ready for the NHL season which as you know, started in time

3) The NHL season started a few weeks ago - how do you rate Edmontons chances to do really well this year?

We will definately make the playoffs and perhaps surprise in the playoff

4) Only yesterday you faced Mattias Norström when the Oilers conceded their first loss of the season (to L.A). Did you have a chance to talk to one another? What did you say?

Yes I did, during the warm up. I kept yelling "Hey Notan" and he was laughing and I talked to him a bit after the game and we talk about A.I.K.

5) Do you still hear from people around AIK now and then?

Yes, on my website, or fan mail, get tons of fan mails that I always respond to

6) As you might have heard, our season faced off the other week and so far the guys are doing surprisingly well. The team is more or less intact from last season - as you remember them, are there AIK-players that would make it in the NHL today?

Definately Stefan Grhoan (Gråhns) and David Endglom (Engblom)

7) Finally, do you find it plausible that we might one day see you in our
black outfit again, skating in on Hovets ice?

100% for sure
